Swanson Group Aviation has a well-established reputation in the support of unmanned aircraft operations. It supported the first wartime use of the combat resupply system known as Unmanned K-MAX. Originally scheduled for a six-month deployment, the system was so successful Swanson spent 33 months in southern Afghanistan supporting Lockheed Martin and the United States Marine Corps, delivering nearly 4.8 million pounds of supplies over that time period. That same amount delivered by road would have resulted in the loss of 48 Marines but not a single soul was lost during Unmanned K-MAX operations.
The Swanson Team supplied mechanics, logisticians, and vehicle operators not only overseas but during flight testing and a Department of Defense assessment in Yuma, AZ.
Today Swanson Group Aviation supports unmanned operations in the United States and elsewhere, setting the pace for efficient and safe operations.
